NEWS:
New ATC Website:
We are through T2 with our new website and will commence with a staged launch on Monday 1 September!  The new site with our integrated membership system and on-line shop, Tri SPaza, has been developed over the past couple of months and we are putting the final touches in place.  We have transferred all our existing member data to the new system and will invite members to update their detail in batches, before the site goes completely live.  We have over 1500 member records on file so will be easing the new system into operation.

We would like to formally thank Ukubona Development, who developed our current website in 2008 and has been hosting it ever since, all at no charge!  Ukubona has been very patient with us, keeping their older web platforms running while we were developing the new system.  The ATC website is a crucial part of our club’s operation and has been pivotal in the club’s growth over the past 6 years.

TSA Registration 2014-15
WP Triathlon has opened registration for the 2014-2015 season with a new provincial on-line registration system.  You will still be able to purchase your TSA license through ATC but will be required to register on-line with WPTA to ease the administrative burden.  Once registered, we will confirm your ATC membership status with WPTA.  This is good news and enables us to put in place a similar process to what we follow for ASA running license registration.  So from next week you will be able to purchase your ATC Membership (new or renewal), TSA License and Running License from our on-line shop, Tri SPaza.

Beginners SUMMER Triathlon Program
On the 9th of September, the Atlantic seaboard branch of Embark will start a 13 week coached SUMMER triathlon group training program for BEGINNERS.  No previous experience required.  The program, is aimed at getting new triathletes through to their first standard distance triathlon.  The chosen triathlon is the ever popular Jailbreak Minimum Escape, taking place on 12 December.

RUN:   This evening (Thursday) there will be a trail run from Kloofnek Parking around Lion’s Head, stating at 18:00.  On Sunday morning we will do a trail run from Hout Bay Harbour, starting at 07:00.  The run will be up Karbonkelberg, down onto Sandy Bay and returning through Llandudno and over Suikerbossie.  Followed by breakfast in the harbour.

ATC GIRLS RIDE:   We will revive our girls ride NEXT weekend!  We often get requests for this from ladies who are new to cycling and are a bit nervous to join general club rides.  The ride is open to anyone, not just club members, and we encourage members to spread the word and bring friends along.  We call on the more experienced ladies to come along and assist with integrating the riders into some of our other groups.  More details to follow next week!
