ATC 10 Year Celebration – Award Nominations - Double Century – SA Tri Champs – Argus Entries

NEWS:

ATC 10-Year Celebration!
The Awards ’16 sub-committee has been hard at work getting everything arranged for next Friday!  Gathering stats on members present and past, tallying Legends Points, hiring tables, evaluating Athlete performances and digging up our History.  OK, so 10 years is not that long but for ATC it’s a lifetime in a sport that only turned 42 this year.  So it’s going to be big, with a Photo Booth, a Wall of Fame, an Olympian, and other Legends of the sport.
Don’t miss out on the Celebration, which will take place on Friday 2 December 2016 at the Nomad Bistro Fusion, 33 Waterkant Street, Cape Town.

The evening will include a 3 course meal with Starters and other Nibbles, five options to choose from for Mains, and Dessert options that are unique to Nomad.  See the flyer above for the full menu.  The cost is R 380 per person.  This includes a contribution to the Development Team who will be present at the event as well as the separate function we will have for the younger ATC Kids on 10 December.

To buy tickets:  CLICK HERE TO RSVPIf you are struggling to buy tickets with your mobile, reply to this email and we will help.  For catering purposes, booking will close on Wednesday 30 November.

All the information about the function and awards to be presented can be viewed on our ATC Awards Page

RESULTS:

Double Century
Congratulations to all the riders who completed the Double Century 204 K Team Time Trial on Saturday.  It was a tough day out with the wind and heat taking its toll in the last 50 kilometres.  The four ATC / Embark Teams accomplished their mission beautifully with all four teams taking all 12 riders to the line to double the medal tally with the Charles Milner medal.

A special word of thanks must go to our support crew!  Jessica Hopley, Lara Browne, Leigh Hodgson, Mario Penzo, Tanja Jansen and Saleem Nadker.  We simply cannot do this ride without the support and it’s a long and busy day for the supporters too.  Thanks also to our team captains, Darrin Hofmeyr, Gert Wilkins, Sean Featonby and STeve Attwell for all the planning, training and arrangements before the event.

Congratulations to Robyn Williams who was part of Velocity Sports Lab team, who won the ladies category in 5 hours 52 minutes.
