Ironman 70.3 Worlds Champs

1 & 2 September, 2018
Port Elizabeth

The fiercest race in the friendliest city turned out to be the biggest Ironman 70.3 event ever and, in the words of many seasoned international triathletes, was also branded the best Ironman 70.3 event ever!

Ironman South Africa and the people of Port Elizabeth delivered a fantastic event and the support was amazing.  The ATC and Embark supporters zone, located in our favourite IMSA spot, did not disappoint and we would like to thank all the supporters and athletes who joined us there to support.  A special word of thanks to Japie Bingle, Pieter Brits, Michael Reddington and the greater Van Der Walt family for their help and support on the weekend.

Rohan Meyer is the 2018 World Champion in the 30-34 AG!  Fantastic achievement Rohan!  All our members’ results are listed further down in this email.

2019 Ironman 70.3 Worlds will be held in Nice, France.  The race took place this past Sunday and Atlantic Triathlon Club won the Ironman TriClub Division II Trophy, thanks to Genelle Van Der Riet, who was 3rd in the 50-54 AG in a time of 05:46:26.
