This week’s training – Olympics Men’s Triathlon - PUFFER

What amazing news to start a Monday morning with, Wayde Van Niekerk’s World Record (43.03) and Olympic Gold in the 400m!  We suspect Lane 8 will be sought after at track from now on.  At our Track sessions this week we will se how far our runners can get in 43.03 seconds.

The Men’s Triathlon is on Thursday and we are looking forward to watching Richard Murray and Henri Schoeman in action!  You can join us at the Green Point Cricket Cub from 15:30 onwards to cheer on our boys.  The Triathlon starts at 15:50.

EVENTS:  Details here...

SATURDAY:

On Saturday is the PUFFER 80 Km Trail Run from Cape Point to the Waterfront.  Good luck to all the runners taking part!

The Atlantis Harriers Half Marathon takes place from the Wesfleur Sports Grounds and there is also a 5 Km fun run.

SUNDAY:

On Sunday is the Dirtopia All Mountain Enduro, a one day stage race on the Helderberg Farm, near Somerset West. The concept is a lot of fun – riders get timed only on certain sections, which make a very social event, especially at the refreshment station where they re-group. The atmosphere is relaxed with no rush anywhere, except when you gun it between check points!

The WPCA Winter League race is a lap race on the Killarney Race Track as part of the Cycle Teknix series.

Enjoy the Week!
