Discovery WTC Info Session – ATC Masters Gala – WP DU Champs

NEWS:

Discovery WTC Information Session
On Tuesday, 21 April, ATC and Embark will be hosting a race briefing for the Discovery World Triathlon.  Embark head coach, STeve Attwell, will be going through the entire race in detail to give the athletes a thorough understanding of the race.  There are 2 transition areas, so it’s a little different than normal triathlons.
Join us on home ground at Green Point Cricket Club for our track session at 6 pm, followed by the talk from 7 pm onwards. There are lots of parking, shower facilities and a fully stocked bar.  Anyone is welcome to join in for the track session and the talk!

Late entries for WTC are now accepted on-line and you can also enter at Registration on Thursday and Friday.  Late entries will cost an extra R100 and you will unfortunately not have a personalised race number.

TRAINING THIS WEEKend:

SWIM:  The Canal Swim will be on Saturday afternoon at 16:00We must appeal to members to please keep to the far left of the canal at all times as the Water Taxi is in operation while we swim.  Taxi operators are complaining that they have to wait for swimmers to move out the way before they can pass.  If we do not adhere to this arrangement we will not be allowed to swim on a Saturday afternoon.

There will be no other club training this weekend due to WP Duathlon Championships and the ATC hosted gala taking place on Sunday.

From next week our mid-week rides will start at 06:00 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  One of the mid-week rides will be a mountain bike ride.  More details will follow next week.
