Long Run on Saturday - Comrades Survey – Ironman TriClub
Comrades On-Line Survey
We did email all ATC Running’s Comrades runners directly, but if you didn’t receive this and would like to respond to our post-Comrades runners’ survey, please click the link below (it is very short but you can also tell us more if you want to):
This feedback, along with our Comrades runners’ results will be published next week, in our monthly newsletter.
Ironman 70.3 Durban
Over 130 ATC’ers will be heading for Durban next week to take part in the second Ironman 70.3 race, taking place there next Sunday. We will publish the ATC Entrants and their race numbers next week. If you are taking part and have not yet registered with IRONMAN TriClub, we urge you to do so this week before they close the list for the Durban event. TriClub membership is free and it only takes a few minutes to register.
Once you have registered and selected (ATC) Atlantic Triathlon Club as your club, you will generate points for ATC any time you do an IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 anywhere in the world and help us to improve our global ranking. With so many of our members doing the local Ironman events (usually way over a hundred per event) we can achieve a much higher ranking, particularly at this stage of the international season.
You can select ATC by clicking on the "My Athlete Profile" tab and entering “Atlantic Triathlon Club” in the drop down menu.
TRAINING: Details here...
SWIM: The canal swim will be on Saturday afternoon at 16:00.
BIKE: On Thursday mornings we will do a Road Bike Ride from the Point Virgin Active at 06:00. Out towards Hout Bay and back. Please bring a proper bike light.
On Sunday we will do a long ride from Point Virgin Active at 07:00. We will ride for 4 Hours, approximately 100 Kilometres.
RUN: During Winter we will set up our own lights for the Tuesday morning Track Sessions. However, if it rains, or even if there is a slight drissle we will not be able to do this and runners will then need a headlamp. If you do the morning session, please always have your headlamp with you. On Wednesday evenings, the stadium will provide the lights for us.
On Saturday we will join the Embark Knysna and Cape Town Marathon groups for their 18 Km long run. Starting from High Constantia shopping centre, at 07:00, the route will follow Constantia Main Road to Constantia Nek, then take in a section of the Cecilia Forest before heading back down along Southern Cross Drive, to return via Klein Constantia Road and Paggasvlei Road. Please visit http://www.mappedometer.com/?maproute=527124 for the route map.
If you would like to run further, you join the Marathon Group at 06:00 for a 10 Km loop before joining the 18 Km run as described above.
