Coached Group Training for Bay2Bay
Embark’ s coached group training for the Ocean Basket Bay2Bay run, which takes place on the 7th of January 2018, starts tomorrow, 17 October.  This is a great run to train for during summer, and gives a nice option for the 15kms, or to step up your half marathon training and aim towards 30kms!
For more details visit www.embark.co.za or contact Steve@embark.co.za.

ATC Committee Changes
Jacqueline Vockins and Kristin Milne have resigned from the ATC Committee due to work commitments.  We would like to thank Jax and Kris for their contribution over the past couple of years.

RESULTS:  Details here...

Willem Le Roux won the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon and Asics sponsored trip for two to the Barcelona Marathon!  Willem always runs in “Love Your Nuts” swimming trunks in aid of the foundation that raises awareness of testicular cancer.  You can read more about Willem’s cause and prize here

Brenton Ashby won the Solo Category in the Steam Train Challenge, which is a Mountain Bike / Run race over a distance of 90 Kms between Wellington and Ceres.  Brenton and Conrad Stoltz, who came second, was on track to beat the train but was, ironically, delayed by the train along the route.

Reginald Poss won the Devonvale 10 Km Trail run followed by Eugene Poss in second.  Daniel Arendse won the 5 Km event.

Last week, during the Tuesday morning and Wednesday afternoon track sessions we had a quick 1 Km Time Trial at the start of the session.  Some pretty impressive times were run, as can be seen from the results in a related post on this blog.

A reminder to let us know your result does not appear when we publish results for major events.  You can view updated results for these events on our On-Line Blog.
