AGM ’15 Feedback – Next Social on Saturday

NEWS:

ATC AGM ‘15
Thank you very much to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting last week.  Chairman STeve Attwell opened the evening with highlights of ATC’s achievements since the last AGM.  In Summary, ATC:
·         Had twenty ATC Development runners on the ITU blue carpet, twice!  At the 2014 and 2015 Discovery World Triathlon events ATC joined forces with YEP CLAN and Songo to have development teams and individuals take part in this flagship event.
·         Sponsored our development team through the Athletics, Cross Country and Trail seasons.
·         Was the only club with development teams at 11 Cape Town and our teams ruled!
·         Launched our new domain, website and on-line shop at: www.atcmultisport.club
·         Hosted Two Sunset Team Time Trial Running events.
·         Exceeded the 800 member mark.
·         Managed over 500 affiliations (TSA, ASA and SSA).
·         Implemented a bar-code sign-in system for the Canal Swim.
·         Managed about 40 canal swims, which amounts to over 5000 safe and happy swims.
·         Timed 10 Club Time Trials with a Mayonnaise box.
·         Published 10 Facebook Photo Albums.
·         Hosted the best year-end function to date (at Col’cachio in Camps Bay).
·         Secured a sponsorship for our caps and visors from Swish Properties.
·         Lost and re-gained our New Balance sponsorship.
·         Found and lost the greatest swimming coach who helped us establish a very successful swim squad.
·         Sent about 50 newsletters.
·         Secured a new Club House and training facility, which was duly launched after the AGM!

Committee Members
We would like to thank the following exiting committee members for their service over the past years:  Inge Hansen (2013 to present), James Bayhack (2014) and Marion Kritzinger (2012 to present).  Inge has been an integral in the planning of the Sunset Team Time Trial over the past couple of events and we will hopefully welcome her back onto the SSTTT Sub-Committee when we establish that later this year.
We welcome the following new members onto the committee for 2015:  Garth Dorman, Jacqueline Vockins, Japie Bingle, Kevin Anderson and Travys Wilkins

The new ATC Committee has had its first meeting and it was decided that the whole committee would focus on improving the structure of the management and administration systems.  The following roles have been assigned, but not cast in stone, as it is envisaged that committee members will share certain roles that require a lot of attention.

STeve Attwell – Chairman
Gert Wilkins – Vice-Chairman
Anthony Dean – Canal Swim and General
Barry Goliath - ATC Development
Garth Dorman – Track Coach and General
Hilda Visagie – ATC Gear Development & Social Media
Ilze Els – Finance & Affiliation Administration
Jacqueline Vockins – Web Site & Affiliation Administration
Japie Bingle – Secretary & Shop Administration
Jay Richards – ATC Swimming
Kevin Anderson– Sponsorships
Paul Gordon-Brown - Treasurer
Travys Wilkins – Track and General

All committee members will be actively assisting at the ATC Canal Swim to ensure that our flagship training session continues to run smoothly.  We will also look at introducing an additional club run to compliment the highly successful track runs.
