ATC Website Launch – TSA Registration – Silver at IM 70.3 Worlds
New ATC Website:
The soft launch of the new ATC Website and Membership System is progressing and all current ATC Members will receive an invite to sign in this week or early next week. We will go live to everyone after this. We urge all members to update their details as soon as possible after receiving the invite. We will be issuing bar-coded membership key ring tags to all members but need all members to update details before we have these tags manufactured.
If you have registered for a TSA License through the WP Triathlon MOBII Site, but have not yet purchased this license from our new website, please let us know by replying to this email. This will speed up the process as we can inform WPTA from our side. Please do not register for a license on the Triathlon SA Site. Registration must be done through WPTA.
Berlin Marathon for Bone Cancer Research
Chris Laubscher and Clive Schulze are running the Berlin Marathon, taking place on 28 September 2014, in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust. The organisation is doing phenomenal work in bone cancer research and creating awareness of this disease. As with most research of this nature, much of their success is dependent on funding from charity drives such as Chris & Clive’s quests. For more information and to contribute, please visit:

TRAINING THIS WEEK:
Thank you to all who supported the ATC Girls Ride this past Saturday! We will schedule another one soon. We are also looking into the feasibility of hosting a mid-week ladies ride at around 09:00 on a weekday. Let us know if you would be interested in this.
SWIM: The V&A Canal swim will be on Saturday afternoon at 16:00.
BIKE: The ATC Weekend Ride will be on Saturday morning, starting from the Point Virgin Active at 07:00. We are picking up the distance from this week and will ride to Simonstown and back. Our morning rides, Tuesday Mountain Bike and Thursday Road Bike, start at 05:30, in the dark, but finish when it’s light!
RUN: This evening (Thursday) there will be a trail run from Kloofnek Parking around Lion’s Head, stating at 18:00. We finish the trail part before it get dark so you don’t need a light for the run.
There will be NO trail run this weekend as it is the Table Mountain Challenge.
SWIM: There are NO swim events this weekend. NEXT Sunday is the September Gala, hosted by Cape Town Masters, in Stellenbosch. The ATC hosted Gala will now take place on 17 April 2015. Due to the fact that the September gala clashes with the Cape Town Marathon and the Long Street Baths are still closed, ATC decided to host the April event instead.

- The Sunflower Fund has charity bonds for runners to do the marathon as a VIP for the fund. If you are interested in this opportunity, please visit the Sunflower Site.
- David Jones, a blind runner, is looking for someone to assist as a guide for the Marathon. David’s guide had to withdraw at the last minute. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you can assist.
